The oldest animal sanctuary in Northern Ireland that takes in horses and ponies, aswell as cats, dogs and chickens. Absolutely brilliant, dedicated, hard working staff and numerous fundraising events; keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates! Visits by appointment only due to there being horses and small vehicles moving about the main yard during the day.

Went there for a cat coffee morning to raise awareness for the sanctuary. The girls there were lovely and so welcoming

Amazing safe haven for NI animals - especially horses. Lyn & her team of volunteers work around the clock to ensure each animals needs are catered for, and then some! The work is physically demanding & often involves battling the elements. Funds & volunteers ALWAYS needed - do not hesitate to support this hard working, caring charity!

I submitted an application form about 3 weeks ago hoping to adopt a cat, any of the cats. No response whatsoever so I tried to call several times but it's impossible to get through to them. Eventually I sent an email to which I got a reply saying that one of their volunteers will look into my application over that week and that "my interest is greatly appreciated". This was 10 days ago and, no surprise, no one ever got back to me. I'm not sure what to think of this place. If all the cats were reserved, why are they...

If all the cats were reserved, why are they shown as awaiting rehomed. If they're available, why can't someone inform me if it's worth waiting for their response or not. I would accept if they turned us down for whatever reasons. But, please, do communicate. Wouldn't that be the best interest of these animals? All in all I fail to understand why an animal sanctuary ignores a family that offers a loving home to a pet in need.
